Employee training achievements recognised at Shropshire Gas
The achievements by apprentices and staff at Shropshire Gas have been celebrated at the company. The Telford and Market Drayton arms of the business saw employees congratulated for a range of qualifications.
Achievements included NVQ foundation and advanced certificates in gas, oil and unvented hot water re-assessments, which updates installers on new Building Regulations requirements and ensures they are fully certified. Other qualifications achieved were plumbing, heating, plastering, chimney sweeping, electrical installations and first aid.
Shropshire Gas Telford and Shropshire Oil at Market Drayton ensure employees gain industry recognised qualifications. Safety courses include manual handling, first aid and asbestos training specifically created by industry approved bodies such as UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA).
Jim Walton commented “Completing training courses while also working full time is an outstanding achievement and we are proud of everyone who has been successful. At Shropshire Gas Telford we employ people from the local area and by encouraging participation in additional training opportunities we are ensuring the continuous development of our team. Our employees have achieved industry recognised qualifications and have each proven their commitment to providing the safest and best possible service to the people of Shropshire”
