Shropshire Gas and Shropshire Oil boosted by local activity
The Shropshire Gas and Shropshire Oil businesses have had their leading position boosted with a raft of new projects that will include work for education, community and local authority-related work.
The consortium comprising Shropshire Gas and offshoots Shropshire Multi Fuel and Shropshire Oil has been named preferred bidder to deliver a number of public sector and social housing energy saving projects including work to National Trust properties. Work will begin immediately in Shrewsbury, Telford and Market Drayton on heating refurbishments including work at a Shropshire school and a community hall.
The programme of works forms part of the wider hub programme, valued at over £1.5 million pounds over the next 5 years including a cheaply priced boiler servicing and maintenance scheme in Shrewsbury, Telford and Newport Shropshire.
Shropshire Gas Director Malcolm Carter, based at Tyrley, Market Drayton commented: “Our Shropshire Gas, Oil and Multi fuel business has an excellent track record in project delivery within the public and private sectors. We bring a wealth of experience and add value for our clients throughout the process. We look forward to expanding our partnership working to deliver much needed quality heating services for the local communities of Shropshire.” Adding, “We welcome the new opportunities to supply energy efficient technologies in Shropshire homes and public buildings, our projects are a great example of the energy saving that we all want to see.”
